how good would amir khan be with a shoulder role?

    Some very good points. :good

    The areas i have highlighted are the key points, this is what Roach has to keep working on, keep refining that speed and timing and show Khan when to use it and when not to.

    And the last point of Khan ring IQ, i agree its not very high due to what he does works for him, it come down to a basic law of 'I can hit you before you can hit me, because i am faster than you', thats also a simple rule of boxing of 'Hit and not be hit'.

    I think under Roach his ring IQ is improving, but he is still

    Agree. I definitely think he's catching on working with Roach though, I mean Roach sits through videos and he says Manny does the same, so I'd hazard a guess Khan is doing the same, becoming more of a student of the game, which can only help.

    Shoulder roll is over-rated plus it doesn't suit Khan.

    he shouldn't use it the same as mayweather but he could adapt his own style. his current defense is reliant on not being infront of his oppponant for to long. in and out style. but you get either throwing punches or moving away like he did in the 10th round.
    there were moments when khan did move with the shopts against maidana and thats when he made him miss, but when he stood there and covered up he was geting battered.

    Khan panics too much. If he can learn to take a few steps and punch, rather than backing straight up and getting cut off, he'd be a really really good fighter. His guard is just fine, but he burns himself out by moving so much.
