How Good Would Prime Roy Jones Jr. Do in the Ring Against Prime Mike Tyson?

Roy jones out boxes Tyson until he gets caught by a bomb then lights out

I dont think he would give Mike and problems no, look at how quickly Mike cut the ring down in his prime. Roy didnt have the size in his prime to withstand that, its just a matter of time until Mike gets through with a big shot.

Roy would have a better chance against other HW, but i see a prime Mike and a nightmare for Roy.

12 rounds is too long for Jones to go without getting caught with at least one good shot, and Jones is just not equipped to take heavyweight power like Mike Tyson and don't forget Tyson was fast and accurate too, he's not John Ruiz. Jones may look good for a while but sooner or later he'd get stung with something big and he just wouldn't handle that sort of power.

roy jones in his prime was phenomenal - but so was tyson. roy might be slick but theres no way he avoids tysons bombs for 12 rounds. at some point rjj gets tagged and tyson in his prime knew how to go in for the kill once he smelled blood.

 

Tyson obliterates Roy Jones. I've seen some of the average LHW's jones fought put him on the ropes, prime Tyson would be trap him there and he'd blast him out soon after. This is prime Tyson people.

 

Not much smaller? How about approx 45 -55 pounds of solid muscle. Tyson was probably as big as prime Roy Jones when he was 11.

 

Roy's glass gets shattered all over the ring. Jones does'nt have anything to keep tyson off of him.

 

Don't care how good Jones was a lower weights, this is a prime Tyson at heavyweight, as soon as Tyson lands anything decent which he would Jones would be iIn trouble!!
