Prime Roy was NOT unbeatable. Go watch the first Montell Griffith fight. Anyway, prime Mike Tyson would walk right through Roy's punches. Roy might survive for a few rounds, but he'd eventually get caught, and that would be that.

    Yep.

If Lou Del Valle could knock Roy Jones down, Tyson would probably knock him out of the squared circle like a Ring King game.

Watch how Tyson just corners Spinks immediately (video in post #45 of this thread). That's what he would do to Roy.

Love Roy but prime Tyson catches him late and sends him to sleep.

Roy gets brutally ko'ed in the rd1, and is brutally put in a coma after folding like a ped filled deck chair.

Some of the replies in this thread have pretty much confirmed to me that a lot of people on this forum truely do not have a ****ing clue. As soon as Roy got hit by Tyson, even if he partially blocks it/rolls with it, he would not cope well with it at all. This is over early and probably brutally so.

RJJ was fast, Tyson was just as fast
RJJ hit hard, Tyson had a granite chin
RJJ had a dodgy chin, Tyson hits ****ing hard

Tyson fought 3 guys smaller than him
Spinks, Norris and Frazier, all 1st round Kos

The guys who BEAT Tyson had a good size advantage over him Douglas, Holy, Lewis.

Dont be surprised if Marvis Frazier outlasts RJJ. No way in hell does RJJ make it out of the first round.
Id comfortably pick the Tyson that lost to Mcbride to Ko Jones.

^ agreed. mike is a nightmare for Roy any way you cut it. I can think of worst style matchup tbh. And Mike absolutely eats up smaller fighters. No smaller man beats Tyson. You have to be able to take Tyson's shots and back him up to beat him.

Tyson is getting more and more underated these days, people are for getting how good he really was! Jones would not get out the first round, tyson would cut the ring off and jones just couldnt hurt tyson, he would go down from the famous hook to the body and upercut.

One thing to consider is if it were Roy instead of Buster in Tokyo '91 was it? Could not have Roy done that too?

Or perhaps more likely get a UD?

    Roy was extremely gifted.

But a prime Tyson? No... Tyson was probably the only HW in history to be able to throw punches as fast as Roy... and with a gazillion more power.
