Ya´ll do realize that Ward will fight Kovalev on PPV?
Given if they actually meet in the ring.

Why Golovkins PPV did poorly was because it was a mismatch. Golovkin lacks in personality and Lemieux was not an established fighter in the good ol US of A.

Ward and Golovkin have done similar ratings on HBO(as has Kovalev) but neither has faced that PPV worthy opponent.
Ward vs Dawson could have been on PPV but i doubt anyone really concidered it since Dawson vs Hopkins flopped miserable.

Pretty bad, less than Golovkin did. Too much of a mismatch.

Man, if a fight this good only does numbers like that, I'm not sure whether I'd be depressed at the lack of interest in boxing, or pleased at the potential downfall of ppv.

    That isn't a PPV fight.

Ward is not a draw he sells no tickets and his TV ratings are off the charts awful.

Kovalev nor Ward are huge main draws nor is GGG to be honest.. Mayweather and Manny spoiled us with his huge numbers and people seem to forget 400-500k use to be great numbers

Why go in on Ward alone? Kovalev is not a draw either, hell outside of Cotto and Canelo no one is really a draw

spoiled us with huge numbers? what on earth do you get out of someone buying a ppv? the quicker ppv totally dies, the better for everyone who wants to watch.

100 buys to watch a commentator box would be a success.
