But Alex Floyd ALWAYS knows he is going to win in VEGAS no matter what Even a dumbo like you must see that
Wins over Corrales and JLC wins don't make you a top p4p fighter all time. Not when guys like Leonard have wins over Hagler, Hearns, Benitez and Duran.
Pac/Cotto/Canelo/Hatton/Corrales/Chavez/Hernandez/Marquez/Mosley/Guerrero/Castillox2/Manfredy/etc does. :nod
a boxer who dominates his opponents in speed only. after the fight, they always have pretty faces like coming from the showers not from a battle. this is how floyd preserved his body and now beating past prime fighters with ease according to the nevada boxing judges. the only way to beat him is to knock him out which is nearly impossible becausehe avoids to engage at all costs, the opponent has to be a cousin of usain bolt.
you have to force floyd to exchange like Maidana 1, Zab(early), Ricky Hatton and Cotto. otherwise he's gonna pick you apart from the outside. It's really not floyd's fault that other fighters have no idea what to do against him. He discouraged pac so much that pac man basically quit. didn't even try to outwork floyd. Why should PBF stand there and make his opponents job easier.
Canelo has a long way to go to become an ATG. ATG's have defining performances. Think Barrera in the 3rd Morales fight. Morales in the first Pacquiao fight. Or Pacquiao is the first Barrera fight.
So Morales, Pacquiao, Barrera is all you know? Marquez is greater than all 3, Floyd is greater than them all, get used to it!
He's a sensational fighter. He's been out of his absolute prime for a long time now, yet he's still dominating 2 divisions simultaneously. Since he walks around between 150-155, he probably should be campaigning at JWW. He was a more exciting fighter in his younger years when he was athletically in his prime and exchanged a lot more with fighters at the lighter weights. Blazing handspeed, ATG accuracy, elite counterpuncher, ATG reflexes and footwork, fantastic combination punches in his prime, and one of the very best defensive fighters in the history of the sport. There are certain fighters where you could say they might've been better fighters in their prime compared to FLoyd's prime. But what really strengthens his case as a high ranking ATG is the longevity of his dominance. This is a guy whose been ranked universally in the top 10 since 1998. He's been in maybe 2 or 3 difficult fights, and has pretty much wiped the floor with the rest of his competition. Championships in 5 weight classes, 4 lineal titles, simultaneous lineal champion in 2 different weight classes, 25-0 in title fights and wins against around 9-10 HOF'ers including a win over the other high ranking ATG fighter of his era. At this point, I rank him higher than Pernell Whitaker.
