Iron Chinned fighters don't get brutally and embarrassingly KOed like Margarito did against Mosley. He has a very good Chin but it isn't Iron. Iron Chinned fighters don't get KOed period.

:goodAnybody who isnt stupid or a complete Fanboy knows he was using Plaster in the Cotto fight and probably more fights before that. I dont even see how anyone can say otherwise, like there is some kind of honest cheater....When they took his Cheat pads away to test them they already had red stains on them so its clear he used them before....

Theres no way you can say that.. Williams just went 1-1 with Quintana.. Marg had just KO"D three fighters in brutal fashion including Cintron and Cotto..

No way in hell did Williams deserve that shot.. Remember Marg gave williams that shot and made him a legit threat with that victory.. He couldn't even pay the respect back and rematch a very close contested fight against a long standing Champion??? He did the same **** after the Martinez fight, only after Martinez beat up Kelly Williams knew he had to take the fight and even demanded a catch weight for it.. He got KTFO and it was well deserved for the way he treated Marg and Martinez:deal

You're a dumb son of a *****... Do you know what happened in the ring immediately after the fight, or in the post fight conference.. In the weeks to follow they wanted nothing to do with margs..

Its alright he didn't want to rematch Martinez either but guess what Martinez beat Pav and Williams had to take it, and guess what??? he got what he deserved.. You see Quintana beat him and he got his immediate rematch, he got what was coming to him with Sergio:good

Plaster doesn't harden when wet.. In the second half Margs hands would have been soaked, now that could have added weight to something in there and tightened the wraps, but it wouldn't have hardened until it dried..

If I recall correctly, Williams' team offered Margarito 4 million (a career high payday then) for a rematch; unusual considering Williams won the first fight and was chasing the loser.

Though Williams won a clear decision, it was closely contested down the stretch of the fight and many fans questioned whether Williams really proved that he was legitimately the better fighter.

After Williams stopped Quintana in 1 round of their rematch and reattained the title, the prospects of a rematch between he and Margarito became one of the hottest topics amongst boxing fans - and their potential clash would have been far more legitimate than a fight between Margarito and Mosley.

No he never got offered a rematch until he beat Cotto and Williams was beat by Quintana..

I'm sure after Marg beat Cotto they offered decent money.. But thats because marg was the new money man in the division. But the rematch was originally denied by team Williams immediately following the match. That should have been when it took place..

I know in the second fight with Santos, he outweighed Margarito by 10 pounds. I don't think Santos would have been able to keep Margarito off of him if they were the same size in the ring.

I think Williams win over Margarito was a good win. He beat the guy, even though his wraps were probably plastered, he beat Margarito when he was supposed to be this unbeatable guy. Good win, a great notch for a young fighter to have on their belt.

After defeating Margs, Williams set his sights on a unification bout with Cintron who initially agreed to the fight but backed out after citing a hand injury sustained in his win over Feliciano.

Disagree. The rematch was clamored for far more after Williams koed Quintana and reattained his title and after Margs defeated Cotto and won the WBA. Both were coming off of tremendous wins that made them titlists which, at the time, would have made their rematch a fight that would have decided 147lb supremacy. Margs was the numero uno welter weight, in most peoples eyes, but still had the defeat against PTP hanging over his head. People were talking back then as if it was one of the best and important fights that could be made in boxing.

Let me help clear this bull**** up.

Right after the fight, in the presser, margarito and his team declared that they would try to have the results overturned or vacated. This is one of the main reasons Pual said "**** him, then" and decided to move on.

And also, right after the fight when Bob Arum was asked about putting Cotto in the ring with Paul, he balked, and said he wasn't willing to risk all of his belts against the same guy.

And as far as later on, Paul had always said he wanted a match against Cotto, after the margo fight, after the CQ1 and CQ2 fight, and said he wanted the winner of Margo-Cotto. Everyone we knew was rooting for Margo that fight, because we all respected him and assumed that he would never back down from a rematch, especially since Paul was his only loss n years.

And don't forget, the only reason he even took on Shane Mosely was because he assumed that it would be an easier fight. Remember he was supposed t be the one to end Shane's career. He ran from a career high payday and took less money for the Shane fight.

    There is no excusing that.

The only thing I can really say is that he is determined to get back in the mix of things. Extremely determined.
