I am not arguing that Wlad would beat Bowe myself, but that one lost record bellies some crappy fights and inflates limited skill.

He ducked Lewis, throwing a belt in a trsh can in terror.

He lost to Tony Manboobs Tubbs, and got a gift.

He took two of the softest defenses in history rather than fight anybody.

He got the stuffing beat out of him twice by Golota, who was an even bigger head case.

The Holyfield wins were good, but lets not forget that the man is a former cruiser fighting a giant.

Again, I am not saying Wladdy wins this one, all I am saying is that under a microscope, Bowe wasn't all that special.

Wlad might very well beat Bowe but that doesn't mean anything. Lewis could beat Louis but that doesn't make him number 1.

The size, infighting, stamina and ability to take a punch would be enough to give Vlad a hell of a fight. Bowe was in decline in the fights with Golota and should not be referenced as Bowe at his best. Vlad does have a better jab and a more powerful right hand but that's it. Bowe is better in every other way. The jab and grab will not work with a fighter of Bowe's skill level and uppercuts. Vlad had trouble outboxing Brock early on. He would not have an easy night against Bowe.

a peak bowe would have been too much for wlad.

bowe has the size and power to get off on wlad.

wlad is a fighter who has to keep it long.

the times when he's failed to keep u subdued is when he's failed miserably. :patsch

Absolute bollocks. WALD will have to do a hell of a lot more than that to make the top 10. Too many knock-downs I'm afraid.

Problem is, as I chronicled in my above post, Bowe's "peak" was only one fight- the first Holyfield fight.

I have never seen a fighter do so little wtih so much.

I agree that on his best day, Bowe would probably get the nod over Wladdy, but its hard for me to say that Bowe was better when we see Wladdy consisantly entering the ring inpeak shape and doing what he had to do to win, whereas Bowe never could.

For one fight- Bowe. If they fought a series of three, Wladdy two out of three.

I never said it would be an easy fight for Wlad but I do still consider Wlad the better fighter head to head as well as resumé-wise.

Bull****, plain & simple. Klitschko is far better from the outside with a superior jab, speed & power. Bye bye Bowe around the 5th round.

What other HW champion had to unify vs. 4 beltholders & an interim? That's a total of 5 wins right there not to mention the others that I said.

Excellent post. Today's Heavyweights aren't appreciated enough even though many have olympic gold medals and stellar amateur experience. Chalk it up to ignorance and nationalism. :-(

He didnt really have revenge over Brewster, he waited until he was coming off a loss and a severe injury, Brewster was a shot fighter mentally at least, he and his trainer were only concerned about protecting that eye rather than winning the fight. Austin was the most hopeless fighter t ever get a title shot, Brock was a nobody who just got beat by a nobody recently.
Ibragamov isnt anything special, thjere is no way wlad can lose that, he has never beaten anyone, a 45 year old Holyfield means nothing, and he drew with Austin lol !!!!!!
