Guys like Gatti and Corrales are epitome of boxing. Ticket sellers and exciting fighters. People forget that boxing is entertainment.

He was a very good fighter. Terrific in-fighting skills, he knew how to shorten his shots and throw crisp fluid combos on the inside. Hard hitter, not the best chin, but had a ton of heart.

He often gets mentioned with Gatti due to being an entertaining, gutsy fighter, but Corrales was definitely a level above Arturo.

To be fair both he and Gatti were top contenders and multi-weight champs. I see the comparison but I agree Gatti never beat a Castillo/Casamayor level fighter unless you count Patterson at 130.

Extremely underrated, along with Castillo and Casa. Only judged for his fight against Mayweather when he was looking at going to prison immediately afterwards, because this board is completely ****ing ******ed and generally only judges a fighter by his very worst performance. He would smash up Gamboa and everybody else from FW to LW if he was fighting today, and be regarded as the monster he was widely considered to be in his own day pre-Mayweather.

Angel Manfredy was better than Gatti, and Chico just brutally dismissed Manfredy, who was one of my favorite fighters, like he didn't even belong in the ring with him. There is no comparison, Chico would walk thru Gatti like it's nothing.

most of those dumb ****s never saw him fight and still haven't. They see it on the board then they just repeat it trying to sound like they know wtf they're talking about.

Freitas was a VERY bad man in his day and judging by his last fight, he still is. Chico turned him into superman, literally FLYING across the ring after taking a solid hit from Corrales. In his PRIME.

his defense wasnt great, but what he lacked in that department he made up with heart and determination. his fights with castillo were classics. what he did to freitas was legendary, made him quit
