    He was a very good fighter very solid I went with him over Money was hoping power would get Money it didn't.but take nothing from Corrales Money is just that much better.

    A great mismanaged fighter. His wins over Manfredy, Gainer and his fight with Castillo proved that. Gary Shaw ran him into the ground, he should've fought at 140 much earlier.

    Corrales was a great warrior. His best skills were his power and his heart. Between the two, he was rarely out of any fight. He ran up against a guy he couldn't take in Mayweather, but if a guy tests himself the way Corrales did, eventually you find a guy you can't beat.

    Good post.

    He got beaten that badly by Mayweather that it took some of the shine off him but he had a very good career.

    Corrales was a warrior who loved fighting and made some exciting fights. A big credit to the sport and he is appreciated, but in all honesty he was not a great fighter. But I loved watching him fight.

    He reached as high as #4 P4P in the world according to the RING when he entered the Mayweather fight.

    Not to mention in his last fight he stepped up from 135 to 147 to figth Joshua Clottey who at the time was still rpoving to be a handfull and was much bigger.

    How Chico managed to stay at 135 so long is amazing
