Not very good. But powerful enough to dent Wlad's suspect chin.

I think he's a bit underrated, powerful, a bit crude, but seems like a Helluva nice guy.

Real bad knee. Was always a factor and needed guys to stand in front of him. Then he got the eye damage from getting hit by everything anyone threw.

He was a real prospect as an amatuer and had that following and money behind him.

Brewster is better than Ruiz, Ruiz was the champion for a short time while Brewster defended the title a few times...

His am record is pretty consistent with how he did as a pro, probably a little worse.

    No chance he's a top 25.

Wasn't the story against Meehan that they were good friends and he didn't want to hurt him? My memory of that fight is Brewster on the ropes and Meehan windmilling away with eye-catching but not extremely effective punches.

Pretty good, exciting heavyweight. Brewster should probably be regarded as much as the Tua's, Sander's, and Douglas's of the world but he doesn't get as much love for whatever reason

    I think this is accurate.

By all accounts very nice, down to earth guy - probably could've made it as a commentator if He got a chance and wanted to do it.
His heart and power gave him two big wins over Wlad and Golota - but his limitations also led to him having wars with very limited fighters like Meehan, Krasniqi and Liakhovich.

He wasn't a "great" heavyweight by any means. Even fighters from his era like John Ruiz and Hasim Rahman probably rank higher, as They were more complete and consistant.

But like lots of ===he is a rise to the occasion guy. Not the type to string together a long string of title defenses. But on a specific night, he is a dangerous guy.

Remember the hype when he ko'd Lennox in sparring?

Good entertaining fighter but not great at all.

That said his demolition of Golota is an ATG blowout and his stoppage of Wlad in fight one is something he should be very proud of. The guy had a heart, chin and a very good left hook. That takes you some way at heavyweight.

Not really plausible since Meehan broke his jaw beat a fair bit of prime out of him. Btw Kali did a lot better against Brewster than Klitschko just 6 months earlier. Controlled him using the jab more effectively and was deserving of the title.
