How great was Monte Barret?

    How would Barret done against a prime Sonny Liston? It's ok if you think Monte stops him in 1.

    He was better then he’s remembered for but I wouldn’t put him in thag list of best to never win it. Put him in the Rex Layne, Machen, gollata sort of class of fighter. Sometimes would show up and surprise and sometimes disappoint

    Great at "The Price is Right." Monte was actually selected from the audience and appeared on the game show in 2004 and won his pricing game, but he didn't do well at spinning the wheel so he didn't make the final showcase showdown.

    When Barrett fought Tye Fields, my friend drove himself crazy trying to find a place to bet $1000 on Barrett scoring a first round ko.
    And it had nothing to do with Barrett being great.

    Career best win is beating Guinn when he was undefeated and highly regarded.

    Beat up Mesi and might’ve won if the fight were 12 rounds.

    Ended a few prospects and ruined Tua’s comeback.

    Better accomplishments than many who are more highly regarded.
