How great was Ray Leonard really?

Im not bitter towards Norris ,I dont even think about him.,he was a comet that soared briefly then swiftly fell to earth,a good but not great fighter imo.

 

Griffith had a longer career at Welter than SRL ,but he also lost 5 times at the weight ,SRl didnt,and Leonards opponents matchup well for quality with Griffiths.Imo there wasnt much to choose between Griffith and Rodriguez ,and how many put Luis in their top 10 at welter?

The only people who don't rate Luis Rodriguez in their top eleven or twelve welterweights are the same people who don't rate Harold Johnson in their top eleven or twelve light heavyweights. That they don't feature in many top tens is not a product of their mediocrity, but how forgotten they are.

 

Sorry dude, they were not the same size. Leonard was bigger. Leonard was a welterweight and could have fought at a higher weights in his prime without much physical disadvantage. Can't say the same for Duran.
