How great was Tony Canzoneri?

    Good thread and posts. I always knew he was great, but I didn't know he was that great. I always thought Ross and McLarnin were clearly superior. Maybe not?

    This is how I see it. I’d probably have him top 20 all-time. He leaned at a young age but he crammed in so much. He was great very young though.

    Tony C record very deep- fought everyone - most of the old timers I spoke to called him a Great Great fighter of the era - The people I spoke to were highly knowledgeable & respected boxing sages so I rate Tony C very highly
