How hard did Max Schmeling hit

For his size Max was a a very hard but not devastasting puncher.

He was also an excellent boxer and more importantly - a wonderful human being.

At cruiser today he would have been a challenge for anyone.

 

That right hand punch of his was short, jolting and effective. He didn't miss often. Max is badly underrated today, mainly because of the historic one-round KO by Louis. He became more famous for that loss than for all his wins combined.

Yeah, but that gets pretty predictable if all you have is just the left and the right in your toolkit.
