yes that true, but he displays a willingness to face opponents that Floyd doesn't share as often - posing the question as to whether Floyd would have lost more dangerous fights.

yeh its not part of my argument. I just mentioned it. you should concentrate on the argument at hand, not the winning the footnote battle.

though I think you will admit that being exciting adds something.

Yes they do. They hurt his overall legacy. RJJ is basically a laughingstock pretty much right now, he gets no respect on this very forum.:deal You can try saying that him getting knocked out by the likes of Tarver, Johnson and Danny Green don't hurt his legacy if you want to but I know for a fact that it does. People here hold it against him, look at the threads about him. He should have retired after he beat Ruiz or Tarver.

Pacquiaos loss to Morales is the worst part of his career. But it's not that big of a deal.

Pacquiao had to move up in weight to fight Morales. Who was really strong for that weight. And tough.

Its a shame Morales couldn't make 130 after that fight without getting drained. I think in the rematch Manny would have won even if Morales could still make 130 easily. He started using the right hand slightly better in the rematch. But it could have had a little to do with Morales having trouble making 130 by then.

I'll ask you this who beats him? Back in those days that as you say he didn't fight dangerous fights. What's funny about it he more than likely would have been the betting favorite over all of them.

If you think RJJ is a laughing stock overall your opinion is worth little in a boxing discusion.

I hope you are not saying that. I hope you mean that aged fighters often attract ridicule for staying around too long picking up meaningless losses.

in this era, and in his best weight divisions, theres no easy call for that, it'd be touch and go with the very best.

thats why hes p4p top three in my estimation. at that level theres no definitive call.

I'm a RJJ fan but I'm just telling you like it is. RJJ doesn't get any respect around this forum and hasn't for a very long time. Look at the threads about him. Glass Jawed, Steroid cheat, overrated, I could go on and on.

My serious opinion of Floyd Joy Sinclair Mayweather jr..........

Floyd was gifted the most incredible God Given boxing talents of that there is no argument He had the talent to put him in the elite class with Ali & Sugar Ray BUT Sadly, for whatever reason only Floyd himself knows. Floyd did not take full advantage of those talents. He ducked & dodged the legitmate challengers. He managed to get the backing of the NSAC, USADA & Vegas boxing so much so that he practically made his own set of rules to sure he never lost his bogus 0
The straw that broke the camels back was the illegal 750 ml of saline prior to the Pacquaio debacle. The NSAC's statement " Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong" does not cut it for me.What little credibility he had left went out the window. Reallu Floyd screwed up his own legacy& could never be regarded as an ATG Just my honest opinion

I don't know why he makes so much of it. But I guess Floyd became dehydrated for Pimp C's sins. Floyd nearly died for Pimp C. He required urgent medical attention despite not having to cut any weight.
