How hard do pro boxers hit compared to the average joe/amateur boxer?

    David Haye made a comment in an interview I saw that any man above 14 stone (or thereabouts) has the ability to knock anyone out. And that was non boxers.

    I guess there is some truth to that.

    Not completely true. Nolan Ryan & Greg Maddux were two of the best pitchers in MLB and neither of them threw over 90 mph. Yet you have guys in the minors throwing 95+ mph fastballs.

    Its all about pitch selection, pitch location, etc.
