how hard do you think joe laughed when williams slick called him out

Calzaghe has power when he turns a punch over. He doesnt do it very often though.

I'm not sure about Calzaghe having a higher workrate then Paul Williams though. I dont know of anyone with a higher workrate then Williams.

 

joe never had serious power.

he had decent pop that gradually disappeared as his hands became more delicate throughout his career. he never stopped anyone in their tracks, 99% of the time it was stoppage via accumulation.

as for this fight, the same clowns suggesting paul has a chance are the very same people who once reality had set in after joe had battered him silly would be the first on here shouting from the rooftops about how calzaghe beat nothing but a blown up welterweight.

get a grip. williams has no track record in the 168-175lb region, meanwhile joe calzaghe has spent his entire career their, beaten a group of decent fighters and a handful of very good ones. use some logic for a change.

Good point, because his first twenty opponents were all KO'd. It shows incredible ability to adapt to a different style - and more importantly adapting to another style that is successful.

 

I think Paul Williams will be overreaching in the 168 division - let alone 175. A immense fighter and everything, but imagine if Kessler or a Froch got hold of him. Aw - me thinks.

Pavlik or Abraham at the moment at 160 I'd give him a creditable chance.

 

He can fight no doubt, does he have more to prove absolutley, but Joe KOing him well

 

It's just like the Kelly Pavlik honeymoon period all over again...he comes off a good win and suddenly forum posters start to think he's invincible.
