How hard does Sam Peter hit?

I agree, Peter is never going to be a technically correct fighter. It's just not in him. I have also heard that he is very hard to train, disobedient, too much selfbelief.


However, i will add that slugging like an amature/caveman who doesn't often get a clean KO hasn't stopped Foreman from being recognised as a dangerous puncher.

Peter could not stop an old out of shape middlweight, Toney who stunned Peter with a right hand.

No, he has stopped training for that fight for quite a while. Peter needs to fight a middleweight, then defend his WBC belt agains Christy Martin. Peter has already been given the WBC belt without any fight. That is something. Don King is impatient.

 

He was training to fight DaVarryl Williamson when he was chosen to step in for Peter

 

I saw video of sparring between Rahman and Peter. Peter got STRETCHED. Thats not word of mouth, or what i heard. Its what I saw.

 

i think peter punches very hard and has great physical strength..though his punches are telegraphed, don't have much snap..they do have a lot of brute force in them. his problem, i believe, is his delivery.

 

I agree, he showed a more complete set of skills in his second fight with Toney. Samuel is a solid puncher who used to fail to Ko some opponents concisely because he rushed in and didn't take his time.. He is a whole lot more confident now and knows his own abilities .. Knowledge of self is a great thing .. All of the fighters mentioned have great power , but its truly hard to guage power unless you have exchanged punches with him.. Sammy is a clubbing puncher, not as crisp as some but effective none the less..

Sam is a clubbing puncher, not very accurate and wastes a lot of energy and power through his delivery, but there's no doubting he's a heavy handed individual.

As far as raw power goes, he's up there with Tua, maybe even a little ahead of Rahman. I believe he's stronger than he is powerful, but if he tightened those looping shots up a little bit he'd be putting people to sleep.

I mean, when a guy as naturally large and strong as he is plants his feet and lets them fly, it's damn sure not gonna feel good when he lands, regardless of where.

 

well Jeremy Williams has one of the worst Glass Jaws ever. And Peter could not KO Wlad. His last KO was in 2006 against Julius Long who is a total joke.

 

It can be unanimously agreed among all half-intelligent boxing fans that Peter does hit hard.....................behind the head.

 

well for one Williams was a Cruiserweight. His chin is awful. So you are telling me Wlad Klitschko does not have a Glass Jaw? He has been KOed the same amount of times as Williams and has just as many fights.

 

Williams dont have a glass jaw, the hook Peter caught Williams with was one of the hardest punches I ever seen landed, and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Peter fan, that punch was the one that put Peters name on the map.

 

Peter hits pretty hard, but that doesn´t matter when he´s not able to land clean enough on top tier fighters.

The hardest punches are loopy and slow - telegraphed punches.

And honestly he doesn´t seem to work on tighten them to be straighter either, seems like he´s buying his own hype.

Neither of those clean, flush left hooks even came close to putting Wlad down. Nothing against Peter's power, because he has very good power. However, this just goes to show that NO, Wlad doesn't have a glass chin... and NO, Wlad didn't just beat Peter because Peter "didn't hit him". Wlad beat Peter because he could take Peter's power punches, and he boxed Peter's ears off.
