How do you think this has affected his image. I presume a lot of the general public will be dubious about paying £15 for another of his PPVs after that shambles. And surely he lost more fans than he created. Personally im glad i gave the fight a miss and instead waited for the Pac/Marg fight. And i aint buying another Haye PPV unless it involves one of two ulkrainian brothers. Also after hearing their was only 1 fight with highlights of 2 rounds from another and 2 hours of Nelson and Mcguigan talking shite im gonna give Sky PPVs a miss unless i think im getting my moneys worth :good
Not for the better, thats for sure. Not that David cares, he doesnt give a flying **** about the fans.. he just wants to fill his pockets.
Those 2 rounds were the worst 2 rounds ever, im happy he got serious in3. but this proves to me he is only in it for the money, i liked haye a lot im switching to the klitschko's.
It was a disgraceful fight but it is not like Haye could make Audley throw punches. Who in the hell shows up to a shot at a Heavyweight belt with NOTHING to lose and throws 1 god damn punch? :roflatsch
The "fight" was disgraceful but like our chinchecker said, Haye couldn't make Audley trow punches. On the other hand it's Haye who was responsible for picking the worst challenger out of HW history, blaming the champion for fighting bums and showing up with the likes of Ruiz (WBA's fault) and Harrison (his own doing). If you read the reactions at Ring and on the BBC site, you know it's going to reflect negatively at Haye.
To be fair, while he is at fault for making the fight in the first place, Haye DID say he would destroy him and that Audley was a joke. He said it all along! Never once said it would be a tough fight...
Why do you support a fighter who choses to fight, in his own words, joke opponents? If this wasn't bad enough he calls Klitschkos opponents bums. It astounds me how Haye is applauded for the **** he pulls, what the **** do they put in the water over there to make you guys so blind to this?
You make a fair point...nothing more to say really. As a Haye fan, I was pissed off he took the fight and refused to go and watch it live even though I had the chance. Time to put up or shut up in my opinion. Take the 50/50 across the board. None of this TV money crap. It's the case of £1/2m either way. Sure a lot of money to me or you, but at this stage of Haye's career it should be more about the legacy. He made £5m or so out of fighting Harrison. Let's get it on and make the fight with Wlad or Vitali.
Especially after swearing that he wouldn't take the fight. They don't put anything in the water, British fans are naturally the stupidest on the planet. Only half of them are bright enough, or have enough self respect to distance themselves from Haye. It is beyond belief how so many people will desperately try to lick the balls of someone who is constantly shitting on them. As a psychologist I can tell you that it is only possibly for this to occur when those fans are filled with a deep self-loathing. Simply put? Healthy people don't put up with that.
Haye called himself Saviour of the division, the man who brings excitement back, the man who cares about the fans desire....and so on.... **** David Haye! He is only in for the money....and Klitschko will do what he deserves....
Well he's certainly established the fact that he's no champion. Just to draw a comparison, by the time Evander Holyfield had been fighting as a heavyweight for as long as Haye, he had beaten twice as many opponents, including some who were significantly better. He was taking on all comers bar none.... He was ready to throw down with a champion who was viewed as being far more dominant than the Klitschko brothers are today.. Despite these things, the man rarely trashed talked and certainly not to the disgraceful extent that Haye has shot off his mouth.. Bottom line... Haye is a poster boy and a novelty item.. Nothing more...
THIS! At least Haye have knocked Fraudley quick enough. I think Wlad would have taken way more time to knock Fraudley out, he really lack killer instinct since the Sanders debacle. But Wald will beat Haye cuz of his size and his superior grab skills.
Can't disagree here. I mean you have a chance at becoming a heavyweight champion and getting rid of the "joke" reputation he's popular with now yet he shows up doing absolutely nothing. He looked like he didn't want to be there as soon as the first round started. If Haye landed anything early he would have been out there in the first or second. Pathetic display by Audley regardless of all the trash talking he started which was obviously fake anyway but A BIT more should have been expected for someone with nothing to lose and everything to gain.
