Sorry but Bermane Stiverne has beaten or fought who exactly to provide such a great indicator or benchmark for Wilder ?:huh

Bermane Stiverne might be dominated and Ko'd by a Chisora level heavyweight for all we know.

This Bermane Stiverne hasn't beaten or fought anybody relevant.

Cant help but feel half this forum have jumped the gun.

It's embarrassing to see some experienced posters and boxing channels on youtube elevating Wilder right up there after beating this paper fought nobody champ.

Thaboxingvoice pundits to name one channel :facepalm

What Wilder is, is a cash cow, so he will be carefully matched to maximize his staying power. He isn't terrible but he has lot of flaws too many to be a "great" fighter.

Because Stiverne was his best competition yet and wanted to win. I thought Stiverne would win and was cheering for him. But Wilder won fair and square and now people are trying to take away what he did. Only one or two posters here are trying to say he is the best thing that happened since the invention of the wheel.

Still a fraud and STILL... Glass jawed. Stiverne must have ate brownies through training camp.

Wilder was an unknown in so many ways

He proved he could box, form a plan, stick to it, stayed patient and poised, jabbed well, took a good punch and went 12

He proved a lot to me but I'd like to see him fight a guy like Fury or Povetkin to prove what he has

Well prior to Stiverne Wilder could have very well been another Seth Mitchell and a product a careful match making and not even a genuine contender.

By beating Stiverne he showed he was better than some thought. He showed he's at least a contender and not a pretender. He still has a lot to prove though as Stiverne's only feat was beating Arreola who loses every time he steps up beyond journeymen level.

I am certain that Stiverne would not be dominated or KO'd by Chisora

Wilder's biggest criticism by all the experts on this and other boxing boards was that he was being coddled and would be stopped by the first boxer with a pulse he faced.

Stiverne's best win may have been Arreola, but nipples has a chin and Stiverne stopped him. Stiverne can crack and that's a fact.

Wilder was never hurt and looked brilliant against Stiverne.

Yet, even still, the same posters that derided Wilder refuse to accept they were wrong and now spew krap like, "Wlad will knock him out though" like that proves them right. Who doesn't Wlad destroy? I'm actually not so sure that Wlad will be able to stop him after seeing what Wilder displayed against Stiverne. Imagine if Wilder went on the backfoot and walked Wlad onto one of those quick one-twos.

Almost everyone was wrong about Wilder, including myself. Sadly, most of those who wrong are now in denial rather than admitting they were wrong.

Stiverne was sick as hell! Wilder still couldn't take him out! And after 7th round Stiverne was too tired and dehydrated, I knew he wasn't gonna knock Wilder out.

 Why was he dehydrated? He couldn't drink something? Did he have to make weight, even though he's a HW?

Just another example of being in denial about being wrong here.

No, it doesn't make Stiverne look any better by trying to diminish what his opponent did by offering such a BS excuse. It is very classless to offer an excuse, especially after the fact.
