Seriously Hatton always takes stick on these boxing forums but with the exeption of two ATG's he's never lost and he's got good wins over top fighters as well despite what people will tell you.
I also don't anyone can beat Pacioua at the moment because he is juicing so much.
People seem to be billing Mosley vs. Berto as a pick em fight and most people on here would lauth at how 'easily' Mosely would destroy Hatton.
I think Hatton could beat Berto and he's a weight division below him.

Bigger, stronger, faster, better. Hatton would get easily outboxing and stopped against Berto or any of the top tier ww's. Lazcano was able to hurt him and Pac absolutely obliterated him at 140. What makes you think Hatton could move up and have any kind of success against top ww's considering Mayweather stopped him and Collazo gave him all he could handle at 147?

I agree hatton doesnt get the credit he deserves at times for what he did at 140 but at the end of the day he will lose to the really top guys and should even stay away from the pretty good guys at 147 because i dont think he can fight above his weight class at all but would give anyone a good go at 140. Id like to see him in against jmm, that would be a good matchup.

Hatton is/was better at 147 than he is given credit for.

He did the weight wrong against Collazo, but was in great shape for Floyd.... but let the occasion get to him to a degree and was KO'd - though he'd have certainly lost anyway.

Berto would beat him right now.

Hatton is the more proven fighter of the 2.

H2H I'd take Berto to beat him.

i'LL TAKE Berto and his speed to beat Ricky...This is not an undefeated Hungry Ricky..he is old and not the same fighter he used to be....Berto KO 9....Speed would be too much for Ricky to handle..Berto moves a lot when he doesn't stand and trade..plus he is a lot bigger than Ricky and his skills and talent is slightly above Ricky as well

Berto is the most overrated fighter today. I can't wait for Mosely to take his belt.

if i remember correctly, collazo gave berto all he could handle also.

prime for prime he's not better than hatton, and p4p he isn't stronger, he's just bigger and hatton is well past his best now. hatton is allways compared against the WW which is a bit unfair, as he's too small (height/reach) to compete at that weight. he's a jww and talking prime p4p he's much better than fighters of berto's calibre.

    People like boxers with punches.
Hatton is a brawler with aggression.

If Mike Tyson didn't have such great technique, his big shots would have never landed. People don't realize that setting punches up is just as important as throwing them.

What has Berto done? One could argue that Hatton beat collazo more convincingly than Berto!! Even though i believe that Collazo won both fights. Hatton is all but finished but he was top dog at JWW for a considerable period of time.

P4p Ricky has more clout than Berto.

My original post wasn't intended to gauge the fighters P4P but instead it was more/less a response to your thinking that Hatton could beat Berto H2H at 147.

Again, imo, Hatton loses to any top tier ww at this stage of his career. Berto would make easy pickings of Hatton with his superior hand speed and his natural size advantage.

Hatton would give Berto hell. Berto is inaccurate, pillow fisted, and lacks stamina.

Pillow fisted fighters don't accumulate 19 ko's in 25 fights. He's certainly not the most fiercest of punchers, but he's a far cry from being labeled pillow fisted.

As far as Berto lacking stamina, care to give any examples?
