I haven't had the pleasure of seeing his last few fights. Is he still peak? Dwindling down? Halfway to shot? I fear Hatton is going to pummel him. I'm rooting for Castillo in this fight, but a young elite against an older one, especially when the younger has the pressuring style Hatton has... C'mon, Castillo. One last great fight.
He looked slow in his last fight. If he looks the same in this fight, he's going to be retired by Hatton. On the other hand, if he can muster up some of his old form, it could be an awesome fight.
Sounds to me from reading ESB lately that the general consensus is Castillo has seen better days. This would explain Hatton being the heavy betting favourite I suppose.
. . . well as they say . . . the fighter is only as good as his last fight . . . so now we will see if Castillo shows up in different form. :yep I'm still rooting for him though.
Look at this from 2007!!! Provdnikov got credit for beating a man that was washed up in 2007!! ESB has never changed.
I'm a big fan of Provo, but I don't think the fight against Castillo did anything for him except earn him some $ and give him a chance to fight in Russia. It was a poor match-up and Castillo should have retired long ago. If I had been in Provo's shoes, I would not have wanted to beat up on a washed up, old legend like Castillo, but I don't know what his situation was like at the time or what other options were available to him.
