He knows very well that the P4P title is not transferable.

    He knows how it works.

    Would it bollocks!!

If the Ring or BBC or anyone half way respectable ranked him number one then that is because he has ****ing earnt it! And after beating Pac and JMM he certainly will have earned it.

If Mayweather comes back, he will obviously be number one after just a couple of fights (rightly so) and Ricky will get a crack at him, which I can't see him ever winning (but I would never be so certain as to bet a substantial amount on a Mayweather win) but even losing that fight he would be number 2 and again, deservedly.

Hatton has a respectable resume, no matter what the pricks who for some reason just hate him, think and adding wins against Pac and JMM (I'm not saying that he has already won these fights or that they would be easy enough to be thinking of them as already won but I do think he will beat both those great fighters) would make it quite outstanding!

Wasn't it you who gave a pretty great reason why he has been saying this?

It was really interesting and I think it was spot on but it just showed exactly what was behind that line being so overused and it was much for more intelligent reasons than him just not understanding how P4P is considered.

It might not have been you but you at least posted in the thread (well, that's not saying much, you post in every thread, don't you;)), so maybe you know what I'm blabbering on about.

Hatton's talking **** about the pound for pound being transferrable, if he's still saying that.

But if he beats Pac, and wins convincingly it isn't obvious who should be P4P#1. Hatton would have beat Pac and Pac would have beat Marquez - could you have Hatton above Pacquiao and Marquez above Hatton when Pacquiao has two wins over Maruez?

I could see Hopkins somehow jumping to the top of a lot of the lists even though the fight is **** all to do with him.

    Decent post, mate.

I just seen your post count and presumed you were new to the forum, I was happy we have a new, intelligent poster but then I noticed that you have been here as long as I have (maybe longer with a different account).

All I can say is, please post more. You are needed, desperately;)

Aye. I had forgotten about that but it's true. He did say that. I can't remember where though to give you a long. I'm sure someone else will be able to though.

Or you could just Google it, it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Noooo!! Really?! When did that happen!??

I know he did, you ****ing cretin!! What the **** does that have to do with my post? I said I don't think Ricky would ever beat him. I do though, think he will have a much better chance next time round with Floyd Snr in the corner and a different head on his shoulders, where he can keep his calm instead of ****ing losing the plot, seeing red and going charging in like a ****ing street fighter.

While Ricky was keeping composed in that fight, he was doing well and winning rounds (no, I don't think he would have won if he had continued. He was troubling Floyd but Floyd is a genius at what he does and he still would have figured Rick out and seen the way to beat him) but we all saw how much Ricky hated Floyd from before the fight (and that hatred actually goes quite a way back. Before Ricky beat Kostya, he saw Floyd and his crew backstage. He went up to Floyd to show his respect as he recignised how talented Floyd was. He held his hand out and said something like "I just wanted to say that you are a fantastic fighter and you have all my respect", or something but Floyd wouldn't take his hand, looked at him and said some ****ing stupid ****, like the tsuff he normally comes out with to make his dopey yes men laugh. Ricky replied "it's true what they say about you, mate, you are a ****ing *****!" and went to walk out but Floyd, sitting, left his legs across the corridor (or whatever it was) and wouldn't move, meaning Rick would have to walk around. Instead of that, Ricky just booted his legs out of the way and continued walking). Floyd really got under his skin.
That added to the frustrating Ricky was feeling inside the ring with Cortez's refereeing (whether you agree or not, it defo got to Ricky) and Ricky just lost the plot and got put on his backside, twice!

That wouldn't happen second time around. Firstly, although Ricky still doesn't particularly like the man, he has gained a lot of respect him, due to the way Floyd was with him after he won (Floyd really showed a side to himself we thought didn't exist. He recognised Rick's pain and spoke to him with empathy and told Ricky that he really is a great boxer and the toughest fighter he has ever fought) but maybe lost some after Floyd's latest derogatory escapades (although Ricky might just not care now and see them for what they are). He really is learning from Floyd. Billy Graham basically just kept him on the body bag which was bull****! Everyone had been saying for some time that Rick desperately needs a new trainer. He is more experienced now and I'm positive he wouldn't get so angry again and actually keep his head. On top of this, he would actually have a gameplan this time round which seemed to be lacking the first. If you don't have a very good plan against Floyd, you have no chance.

    Anyway, long post short.
There are lots of reasons not to write Ricky off against Floyd but there are still few reasons to expect a win.

Anyway, you're a *****. You know damn well what I was saying. What was the point in replying to me with that, you great poovey ponagger!!

What the hell does it matter? At any point in time, there's dozens, if not hundreds, of different P4P lists because it's not like they're anything more than opinion. It's funny that half the people think Pac will blow out Hatton while at the same time trying to minimize any credit Hatton'll get if he wins, though.

That's true when we are talking about belts but it doesn't work like that with a P4P list.

    It isn't a league.

With all due respect, do you understand how P4P works and why it is in use?
That sounds terribly rude and disrespectful. I'm sorry, I honestly am not insinuating anything but it's true that many people just cannot get their head's around P4P. Doesn't mean they are stupid or don't know anything about boxing, it only means that you have trouble seeing boxing talent in a holistic viewpoint and can consider the pro's and con's of individual fighters of any weight and compare them to each other without the handicap of a weight dis/advantage.

I'm sure you understand P4P perfectly well but even if you don't, that's no problem and doesn't mean a ****ing thing!
