Mccloskey seemed to blow hot and cold.

One performance he would look superb, then the next he would look like he couldn't be arsed.

However say what you want about him, he carved out a decent career for himself. European champion, fought Khan, beat the man who wiped Khan out in 1 round, good domestic win over Lynes.

Decent/good boxer on his day, but he's 34yrs old, and was never that great or consistent to start with.

Think that's the best way to sum him up.

Could be an extremely good fighter on his day, could also put in lackluster performances. Lacked consistency.

Of course it's an achievement you ****ing **** he's fought a two time world champion.

Yeah Khan's ****, only he won a world title at 22 years of age and is currently being lined up as Mayweathers next opponent.

If anyone's a strange poster its you, you complete and utter moronic tart.

    Agreed.
To answer the original posters question (remember folks before all the fighting broke out - "How has Paul Mccloskey declined so much") the truth is that he probably hasn't - declined so much that is.
In shape and motivated Paul gave anyone trouble - he had sublime radar-like evasion skills. But those were very "unconventional" skills. They were not backed up with sound fundamentals. These skills were very 'fragile' skills and when such a fighter deteriorates even a fraction he gets quickly exposed. Paul is not alone in this. The same thing has happened to many other boxers blessed with unique, bizarre skills (Naz,Graham Laing etc etc )Also in the future another candidate for the same fate might be the Sheffield super-bantam Kid Galahad.
Very few of these really unconventional types get to the top and stay there long, like Pernell, Locche, Ali did.
