Arguably the best fight in boxing. Why in the world has this not been made yet?

I've been saying that about Rios vs Guerrero or Tim Bradley vs Maidana for months. Lots of good potential fights not getting made.

I like this fight, all out guaranteed action. I think Provo takes it in a bloody mess.

Leave Provodnikov alone, hasn't he been beaten up enough, same goes for Bam Bam, they both need a few easy touches.

Because that is more or less a cashout fight for them. They have both been in many wars and most likely that fight will take whatever career they have left.

Interviews from esnews would suggest not enough $$$ on the table for Rios.

When they were trying to make it happen it was something like 1mil to Ruslan and 200-400k to Rios.

I'd prefer Rios vs Maidana if Maidana was still active. I'd prefer Prov against Crawford.

What are you, his nanny? I thought boxing was supposed to be about putting on a show, fighting the best, the most exciting matches. Fighters aren't supposed to be coddled and protected. That's what's wrong with modern boxing. You're supposed to seek out challenges, not run from them. Test your limits. Boxing is a symbolic ritual about facing and overcoming adversity, showing what kind of man you are. People with fear in their hearts, who can't withstand pain and faint at the sight of their own blood should become accountants.

How dare you suggest Ruslan and Rios are coddled and protected.

What you say does not apply to these 2 fighters.

Just make a "for the fans card" with-

    Maidana Vs Matthysse
    Provodnikov Vs Rios
    Eto Vs Muranaka

I didn't say that. CST is saying that we should feed top fighters cans.

I love blood and guts wars, I think that should be obvious by now, but fighters don't always have to fight guys who are capable of killing people every time they step in the ring, it wouldn't hurt for Provo to fight a Vargas or a Peterson or Lundy once in a while.

I sympathize with CST because of the beatings both fighters have taken , especially Ruslan against Matthysse.

But, regardless of what we say here both guys will be fighting the best.

(Ruslan wants a rematch with Matthysse, Rios likely fighting Brook).

Both earned enough respect in my books to not have to fight the toughest guys from time to time.
