Why is he not amongst the superstars in the sport? 4 weight, 6 time world champion, that's extremely impressive so what I want to know is, how has this guy slipped under the radar when weaker fighters have risen to stardom? I'd classify myself as a big boxing fan and I've only heard of Robert in the last year or two. I'm puzzled as to why this is considering what he's achieved in the sport.
no good wins....he's like the chicano version of humberto soto, and i think he's gonna get beat bad this weekend...
Robert isn't exciting enough for me to be honest. Skill wise too. No flair. Just the same old every time. If you're going to box, counter punch etc. At least try being slick about it, and show some finesse.
Robert has good wins alright but he's building his own career not at the expense of other guys so that his rise and rise has not been clearly understood cause it doesn't come with the fall of others at the same time. Just for example, his win against Litzau is hugely underrated because Litzau kept his reputation solid and won a SFW fight with FW Champ Caballero, falling afterwards in seconds to Broner. Another example is Michael Katsidis who had lost to Casamayor so his loss to Guerrero came overshadowed cause he still was high to stop previously unbeaten Kevin Mitchell and fight again for the WBO interim LW title against Ricky Burns. The same must have happened with Klassen and Casamayor who was shot but still knocked Guerrero down out of balance so that 10 round UD was not an exclamation point at least for Casamayor who still went on to fight Bradley.
Probably because he hasn`t done anything meaningful. Has interim belts and ibf and his best opponent will be Berto a real test for him that fight will tell how good he really is or turn up to be another average fighter.
