How has the heavyweight division become so inactive?

    Surely there's more money to be made if they fight more often.

    It's all Tyson Fury's fault

    basically anything bad that happens in boxing is Fury's fault

    So we'll mock him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight.

    You would think so.

    But there are only a very few of the top 50 heavyweights currently scheduled. Most boxers want meaningful fights, but managers and promoters have become too cautious and over-protective.

    Only one of the top 25 heavyweights currently has a scheduled fight.

    Wallin, Zhang, Hrgovic, Demirezen, Sanchez, Gassiev, Sirenko, Bakole and Ruiz should be scheduled to fight by now.

    What will Wilder do next? What is holding up Joshua from being scheduled for a fight in 2023?
