The IBF was a vacant title that O'Neil Bell didn't lose in the ring yet for whatever reason wasn't on the line for Mormeck vs Bell 2 yet was for the first fight.


It is hard to win all titles when fighters often get strepped for fighting ofter World champs. E.G. Sergio with the WBC and WBO. That is why true unification rarely happens.

Haye still should have fought Adamek and Cunningham though.

I really hope Cunningham still has the physique to comfortably go back down to CW. He has no chance at HW, and now that Eddie Chambers is a CW, and with Hernandez getting better with each fight, it could be a very exciting division. That would be three extremely fast, extremely skilled technicians, (2 of them being Americans) plus sluggers like Lebedev.

- And unlike the HW division, these guys might actually fight each other.

If not for his chin, he could've made a better living for himself moving up earlier and being a heavyweight contender like Chambers.

It's tough to be a U.S. based Cruiserweight. The money's not as good, the fights don't come as often, and you have to do a lot more traveling.

 

His jelly jaw gave up on him in the first Adamka and the Hernandez fights.

atschAdamek never landed more then 2 punches at one time and Cunningham never looked close to going down.

 

He has fast hands but he doesnt have power. He also has shaky chin. His style is boring and he is high risk low reward.

Shame really. Cruiser reminds me of the 'classic' HW division when I was a kid. Guys came into the ring in shape at HW. Now with few exceptions they don't seem to care.
