Doesn't influence me whatsoever. Elite is elite and a hypejob is a hypejob no matter what country they're representing.
This is less true of you than any poster I have encountered on this forum. You are the biggest nationalistic troll on ESB.
Americans aren't hyping up their fighters so much in a unique sense. All countries would do it if they had the capabilities to. Cultures are ethnocentric. What the United States says and does affects the rest of the world whether you like it or not. The media here is dominant and they have ability to get their fighters out there. If some country from Eastern Europe decides they want to hype up a fighter nothing comes of it. If the American media does then everybody is aware.
Like your lack of knowledge of the existence of top 5 SMW and current belt holder James DeGale less than a month ago? :think In order to not know who James DeGale was before the Dirrell fight means it must have been a looooooooong time since you even took a glance at any ranking list
I don't mind divas at all if they don't duck. Guys like Ali, Robinson and DLH were all divas, but they fought everybody out there.
How are you gentlemen defining Diva? Just curious the names mentioned in Gramsey's post all seem to have moments that smell Diva like so I'm curious as to what events have crossed the line and solidified their diva status.
I don't why but I can root for fighters from other countries very easily. Maybe it's because the sport of boxing that I like more than anything else, maybe it's because I'm a first generation American and can sympathize to foreigners more readily. Maybe both but typically, if like their style, attitude, and will, I will root for them with practically no bearing on where their from unless they are up against a fighter I equally like who shares my roots.
On here? 1. I can't call who's European and who isn't, I'm talking about in actual life. 2. realistically 75% of everything on here is at least a partial troll so it's not really sensible to eke out one side or the other's position.
Lacy hardly had a following, so your generalization FAIL! He was mostly hyped up by the network. Just like Kirkland, Seth Mitchell. What's funny is you say Americans. Boxing isn't even a top 10 sport anymore here.
