Yeah, you are. That being said.... ironically I was one of the few without hesitation to pick Crawford to beat Gamboa. Which should make people wonder... am I just being a contrarian now?:sisi1

Yes. He's the best H2H p4p. I see Crawford in your avatar, I'm a huge Crawford fan too, but floyd is on next level **** bro. Do you disagree?

I'm not going to lie Crawford looked bad in there yesterday lol. I know you enjoyed seeing Crawford not look dominant. Don't get me wrong Crawford won almost every round but his defense got checked.

I didn't think Benavidez would win, but I did a thread saying Benavidez would be his toughest test by far, because I know how good of a counter puncher Benavidez is. And for those very same reasons on the RBR last night I said, even this Mayweather beats him, as does a very discipline Thurman, like the one that fought Bundu and Guerrero.

I don't know if Thurman beats him but I'm not confident in that pick anymore. Garcia, Porter, Thurman are all competitive fights. Spence still bodies them all!

Yes. I disagree. Imo, Floyd would be competitive with anybody near his weight in any era, but prime for prime I don't think he beats Duran. Nor SRL. Nor Tommy Hearns. Nor Hagler.

As far as Bud is concerned, he's my favorite currently active fighter. How good is he in an historical sense? I don't know yet. I want (like everybody else) to see him fight Porter and Spence and D.Garcia and M.Garcia, etc...I think he'd be in the mix in any era along with some of the other guys now fighting between feather and welter. I suspect that current Bud beats everybody Floyd beat under the same circumstances Floyd fought them. Would prime Crawford beat prime FMJr? Ask me again in 5 years.

All that said, to say that the worst version of Floyd is levels above Bud is to be expected from somebody with your username. :p

People are giving Benavidez credit for fighting better than they expected and using that as a reason to shade Crawford but the fact is that Crawford systematically broke him down and knocked him out. He was just the better fighter and Benavidez could have had three good legs and there wouldn't have been any difference.

If you took off the metal in his knee he was a lightweight.

The way you can tell how much weight someone put on is how muscular they look at the weigh in compared to the fight. Look at Peter Quillin for instance. Benavides was very vascular at the weigh-in but looked average at the fight, meaning that he put fat and water weight on. I would say he was at least 15 lbs. heavier, maybe close to 20. Crawford is not cutting weight at 147 like he was lighter so he was probably 10 lbs. heavier.

I don't think Crawford - Mayweather would be a great fight. Crawford is the best fighter in the world, but it's all about levels. There are no great fighters right now. Floyd was a level above Crawford and SRL was a level above Floyd.

I like Crawford but he'd lose a UD to Floyd and get stopped in 4 rounds by SRL.
