not that heavy, he slipped which meant he was unable to get out of trouble, plus he looked like he composed himself well after the knock down.

    from memory without reviewing it

    a flash knee down.

haye was cornered in round 4 and mormeck was throwing leahther when haye slipped on a wet patch in the corner and could not keep his legs, then mormeck hit him a second or 2 later and haye decided to take a knee to get out of trouble in a corner where he had no balance.

I thought it was a hard KD from memory and Haye looked in trouble often when Mormeck slipped in side and countered his hands down defense clean

I wouldn't say it was really heavy, nothing like Khan after KD1 for example, but it was slightly more than a flash knockdown.

His legs were not completely normal, some of that could perhaps be attributed to weight draining. His head was also there, he wasn't really buzzed. He fought the rest of that round very sensibly.

it was haye v mock where he was hurt bad from a temple shot and he lost his equilibrium.

against mormeck he was not hurt and it was just a saftey ploy.

Safety ploy? He was knocked down.... Haye didn't just go down to help himself.

A Mormeck left hook caused Haye to go splay-legged, and soon after Haye slipped in the corner . He was definitely hurt, but possibly could have remained on his feet had he not slipped. Haye seemed to recover relatively quickly.

IT wasn't a big deal IMHO, guy gets hit, gets knocked onto one knee, gets up and goes on to win the fight by KO.

He was definitely hurt , and dazed, but he managed to maintain his composure and go forwards to victory, that shows a lot of character to his credit........

Shame he couldn't do the same when Carl clipped him...

I just dread to think if Povetkin or any other decent class heavyweights crack that cranium..... Those black lights come whizzing towards him ...

    Peace..

i just rewatched it to remember the incident.

haye was moving in a corner when he slipped very badly on the canvas going splay legged and trying hard to regain his balance in no position to defend himself at all and mormeck steps in and hits him but not that hard and haye still not fully balanced goes down onto a knee and takes a count.

good job he did possibly ,as when he was totally unprotected , and using his arms to try and keep his balance he could have been hit with a crunching shot.

haye took bigger mormeck punches in this fight .

the splay legged bambi impression was not caused by a punch but by water on the glossy canvas .

The KD wasn that bad at all. Iv only ever seen Haye really hurt when he did the crazy legs vs Lolenga Mock and when he fought Thompson and gassed.

He was hurt but if you want to see him down and hurt bad look at his knockdown against Lolenga Mock.

A solid KD, more serious than a flash KD but Haye recovered well.

Think that fight goes 50/50 if not for the rabbit punches from Haye.
