He is as elite as you get in terms of striking outside of Boxing. And this fight was towards the end of his career as a kickboxer. He's the real deal. He is all about the sweet science of striking, timing, coordination.. and it was always in his heart to be a boxer.

He's shown heart to make the jump and to stick to it. He just needs to push the pace with opponent selection I don't know who's promoting him but he needs matchroom or something. Matchroom can elevate him quickly because he is entertaining.

But you are misunderstanding because you haven't followed Spongs career for the past 10 years. He is not a KO artist, he is a skilled tactician... with combos... footwork... timing... ring IQ. He just HAPPENS to have knockout power and explosiveness thrown in... something Usyk lacks.

The only thing lacking with Spong is pure boxing experience where the timing is completely different... but make no mistake Spong can box with a pure boxer. And he's done many rounds with Luis Ortiz already and more than held his own.

He's been in with really heavy handed and large striking opponents. Boxing resume is just building him up safely as he has no amateur experience, but the plan is to fight the top 20 and then the top 10 asap.

Not saying he is a world beater... but he will definitely shock a lot of key contention and it won't be by luck.

I see Gorman as competent, Hughie level or slightly below... but I see nothing in his toolkit to show any real upsets. You gotta have something real special in the heavy weight division to be elite... and I don't think Gorman has it.

Not misunderstanding anything, I've seen a lot of Spong in a Boxing ring, and he has a decent skillset, but I don't think he has what it takes to hang with the elite. Just a personal opinion, that no doubt, a guy praising Spong in his Custom Title until a day or two ago is going to disagree with.

The no amateur experience and being rushed thing, htat's a recipe for destruction by the way. Although maybe not, he could impress me, and unlike many, I can change my opinions.

Agron Smakici looks impressive. I think his chin might be his downfall but he's a talented 6'6'' 240lbs southpaw with good skills and plenty of power. Reminds me a bit (just a tiny bit) of Wlad albeit he's a southpaw. Currently 14-0 (12KOs)

Just don't agree on Gorman and Demirezen. The other ones are perfectly sorted! I think Demirezen has potential to win an insignificant belt and Gorman is crap.

I was back and forth on him as well, but I went through a list in my head of who I thought Demirezen could beat, no one good came to mind.

Yoka who he ko'd in amateurs and Joyce who he also beat in a convincing fashion in amateur in one of their fights. I rate all three by the way.

The Amateurs are the amateurs for a reason.

Did you see his last fight? He looked good also has a decent amateur background. He can easily win the EU belt at least

Can’t wait until Gassiev makes that move up! Without having to cut and possibly filling out some more, he’s going to be DANGEROUS at HW. And he’s going to improve more.

I meant to watch him the other night, but I was getting tired, damn I wish I had, he would have definitely got added to my list, at eh very least he'll be a Kliadze-esque journeyman, at best he could make it to the Top 15-20. He's got some potential. I'll throw him in with the decent to fair group.

I almost 100% agree; for me Gorman, Hunter and Yoka would be dropped from the second tier of "good, could be great" to "decent/fair, could hold a belt".

Bakhodir Jalolov isn’t Decent / Fair. He’s a huge athletic southpaw who had excellent power and accuracy with straight punches. Watch his pro fights on you tube.

I’d pick him over half the guys listed in the good to really good area.
