You are right that PP made a silly statement, but I totally understand the gist of what he is saying. Where are the defining wins for Wilde? They basically don't exist.

Sam Langford did something similar before steroids were invented.

He basicaly beat an all time great in every weight class from lightweight to heavyweight.

They exist, we just can't interpret them.

Even so, a flyweight beating Joe Lynch is prety darn incredible!

I didn't say anything about steroids, I think Langford gets a tad overrated for being a mesomorph too. Some fighters can gain muscle easier than others

I was mainly winding the OP up, but I don't think Wildes record is deserving of nearly that high a ranking either

What sort of comment is that? :huh

So Langford achieved great things when jumping weights, therefore it's not possible that anyone else could come along and do something similar (fairly), even in the ensuing 100 years??

Let's stick to the facts and leave our silly and unwarranted accusations elsewhere.

Which is the same as saying that they don't exist, so we can't interpret them.

You can't presume that a fighter was great, it must be proven, nor can it be presumed a fighter was outstanding, it must be shown.

You seem to have missed the point of Janitor's post completely then gone overboard in your response even if you had been right, which you weren't.

    Unless you maka da joke?
