This, plus he's got continually better, so when people talk about the "best" Pacquiao, they tend to be talking about his being in with bigger men, as you've said, but you can't transfer that form to, say, his h2h ability at Bantam or even Feather.

So he suffers head to head but all in the name of logic.

Christ no, where the **** would you even get that from? You worked so hard to reach that (erroneous) conclusion i'm kind of stunned.

This is true. IMO, Pacquiao's best performances have come from 135-150, but the only weight he has had more than one fight at from within that range is welterweight, so when people think of the best version, they think of the welterweight, and a 144-148lbs man at 5ft 6in with a 67in reach is never going to compare favourably with bigger men who started at welter and went far beyond it, like Leonard, Hearns, Robinson, etc etc.

Really? To me this seems like a very clear, direct and intended implication.

Isn't that very clear and direct? Janitor's response was made directly to PP's post. I don't see how there can even be any confusion over what he meant, it honestly seems explicit to me.

Yeah, basically. He doesn't do well against great bantams and feathers because he was a bit one dimensional, he doesn't do (as) well (as people might expect given his rep) against the best at 147-154 because he's a little small for that weight range. Lightweight would maybe be his best bet because he was nearly there, but his stop was very brief. You can see why people balk at picking a guy whose sum total in terms of resume at that weight is David Diaz over a great champ like Williams or Angott.

Why would he mention steroids if steroids were not in any way relevant to the fighter being discussed at that time??

 give the Pacquiao Paranoia a rest! I'm sure he'll be along to clarify.

Perhaps the man himself will enlighten us as to his intentions shortly. I'm not trying to be a dickhead over this, I don't know if something is being lost in translation here, to me that seems like a very, very clear and obvious way of saying Langford didn't take steroids and Pacquiao does.

    Yes for sure I can.

122-130 Pacquiao was over-reliant on the physical, and a bit raw and haphazard.

147 Pacquiao is too small to match up well to big, physically fearsome welters.

135-140 would have been his optimum range, but a win over C-class Diaz and a 2-round blowout of Hatton are not sufficient evidence to justify backing him to beat some of the best lights and lightwelters.

It seems the man is resigned to an eternity of not doing so well in h2h's, but as you said, logically this is just.

I agree with that to an extent. Its just when I see him matched against fighters that stylistically suit him like Chavez, Saldivar, Armstrong, Pryor, Ross, Arguello (doesn't completely suit him but he'd give Arguello a world of problems) amongst others....he gets underrated

There are ATGs that Pacquaio would dominate, as he has done on occasion

Sometimes I feel like Pacquiao could beat Armstrong. That looks bizarre that I typed that, but I wouldn't write off Pacquiao at all.

could pac beat armstrong h2h? sure. doesn't mean (and i know you weren't implying it) that pac should be rated higher. THAT would be hard to do

i'm agreeing with the general trend that pac is competitive with damn near anyone from 126-147...**** me. i'm reassessing his top 20 status, that's brilliant

Get in the shower, clean the shower out of your vagina. I said Pac was a mesomorph with no implication of PED use, Janny said Langford gained weight pre-steroid, perhaps implying gaining msucle is possible without steroids, which ofcourse it is, so shower away the sand

Don't worry that means you can go back to jacking off over Pacquaio without the worry his testicles maybe suffering from natural testosterone shut down

BTW whenever I chat in the PED community, they always say 'ofcourse he does every top sports man does something and then they just debate what he actually may do'

Beating him H2H alone doesn't mean he should be rated higher, but could he beat Ross, Garcia, Ambers? If so isn't he on par? Maybe not because he is actually a bigger a man.....
