I dont know what's wrong with the weighing scales when it comes to Donaire. In the weigh-in, he doesn't look thin/drained. Fight night at 126 lbs, he even has belly flabs and muscles aren't defined (meaning still has fats). That said and Manny is half an inch taller, i'd say 130 lbs is the uber max division he can be said still at his peak.
He can go 1 division per year. Let's see: 2011 --> 27 yrs old --> 118lbs 2012 --> 28 yrs old --> 122lbs 2013 --> 29 yrs old --> 126lbs 2014 --> 30 yrs old --> 130lbs 2015 --> 31 yrs old --> 135lbs 2016 --> 32 yrs old --> 140lbs Then retire.
I really don't care how many weights he can climb. He shouldn't ruin his career trying to be the "next Pacquiao" or the next anybody, just make a name for himself. I personally would prefer to see him stay between Bantam and Feather, and just conquer those divisions. Retire with people calling you one of the best lighter weight fighters of all time, maybe not as financially rich, but legacy wise, he could be huge.
as long as he beats the topdogs at any division he is in, or give us fans the exciting fights that we crave for win or lose, it doesnt matter if he fights Sugar Valuev!!!
