How high Would Barker Beating Martinez rank in upsets by british fighters?

    As Icemax says it will top 5. Or really high in the list because he's not being given a chance. I actually feel he will do well-ish early on and give a good account of himself. The lad is a class act and has the determination to win and also skills but Martinez is a real elite world class fighter and expect him to get the job done sadly but in saying that you never know in Boxing. C'mon the Dazzler!!!

    would be up there with Honeygan vs Curry.

    As good as I think Barker is, he has not been anywhere near world class, infact he has only had one fight at European level. He also has only had 1 fight in 16 months. He is fighting the legit world champion coming of some very very good performances.

    Martienz is also about as difficult style to beat as you can get. an awkward southpaw puncher.

    Turpin v Ray Robinson
    Honeyghan v Curry
    Buchanan v Laguna
    Stracey v Napoles
    Pedroza v Mcguigan

    Deffo up there. Of this years fights, for example, this would be more of an upset than if Rhodes had beaten the ginger mexican. IMO

    I'd agree with Honey v Curry. Although I reckon the ragamuffin man was better than Barker going into the fight, Curry was better rated that Martinez and a p4p king. So not too dissimilar.

    Good post, gets you thinking.

    its gotta rank very high, top 5 somewhere......

    what chances are we all giving daz?

    id say a very very slim 30/1 i just cant see it.....

    that is the price id give as a bookie......if it was to my mates id let them name their price, allways a punchers chance i suppose......BIG SUPPOSE!

    I wouldn't give any more than 10s TBH. Probably 8s. Martinez is getting on and Barker is a solid enough fighter.
