How high would you all rate ex-champ P. Charles Williams at 175?

i remember an old USA TNF episode where moorer and williams fought on the card (WBO and the IFF 175 champs) and in the audience were Virgil Hill and Dennis Andries (WBA and WBC champs) all brought together for talks of unifying....they all said they wanted to fight each other....gee guess what? its boxing...no one fought each other.....would have been a great tourney.....williams was very dangerous...moorer was murderous puncher, hill was a boxing machine, and andries was rough and crude but tough....would have been fun

I think Prince Charles was underrated and at the time he actually broke into my pfp list around 9or 10 at the time. I remember thinking back then that he would have beat Hill, easily beat Andries and Had him almost even Money against Moorer but in retrospect I dont think he would have beat Moorer. I was surprised when he lost to Maske. I was at the fight against James Toney when Toney knocked him cold .Paez vs Delahoya was also on the card. He was already on the downside when he fought Toney but still gave him a good fight before the KO. When he fight Sosa he was past it although those were great fights and he showed how tough he really was.

Williams dropped to 168 for Toney in '94 and I'm sure that drained Williams who was in great shape, but also aging.......... Toney then would be ill prepared for Jones at 168 to cap-off the year in a stinky PPV match......

His two fights with Bobby Czyz were classics, someone recommended them to me a while back and I'm glad they did.

Czyz almost had Williams out early in the first fight, but then Czyz faded and he himself got stopped.......... The fight was wicked indeed...... A year or so later Williams put on a master performance in hammering Czyz all around for a TKO win and title defense..... Good stuff that has gone almost completely forgotten.......

No ****:patsch Some of these wittle kids **** me off with their ignorance of the sport. Many of them think anyone before Money May and Pac were overrated bums:-( There are a few knowledgable young fans here though Freddie Wak is one ,and on the classic forum too like GPater,Addie and i think Sweet Pea is a youngster too.

I rarely surf the "General" side of the Forum............ Just too much "Packy, Cotto & Mayrunner" debates / threads.......... Them guys get stale with me fast......... However, I do like the "K" brothers, etc........
