I suppose I'm just curious as to how highly the rest of ESB rate this fight. It's the greatest fight ever in my honest opinion, but of course there are so many great fights in the history of our sport. I suppose I rate it so highly, because they are exchanging furiously for the best part of 12 rounds, and it's arguably the two greatest Mexicans of their generations meeting prime for prime. Can't ask for more than that. General opinions?
Easily one of the top 5 fights I've ever seen. I'm sure it would be top 3 if I made a list of my favorites.
Thats exactly my feelings on this fight too, for me its the best fight ever, it had everything except a KO but to me, them 2 going the full 12 at that pace with that passion + the technical skills of both men + the fact that it was very close & most rds were hard to score made it all the better for me. Anyone who votes anything other than `one of the greatest ever fights` should get themselves back into ballet. Ps. A draw would have been the fairest result for that brilliant fight IMO, there was no loser in my eyes. Absolutely legendary. 10/10 for me. Botswana :good

One of the greatest fights I've ever seen. I watched it live on SKY here in the UK. It's right up there with the best fights ever, based on skill and quality volume.
Not sure where Id rank it but I rate it highly....my favourite fight of that year off the top of my head and for a long time well inside my top10 favourite fights, probably has slipped just outside in recent years because Ive watched a lot of fights in that time since past and present.
Great fight. I don't know if it's one of the greatest ever but very few fights have the replay value and just general enjoyment that this one has.
