How highly do you rate Fury’s wins over Wilder?

It's pretty good. Wilder was clearly one of the better HWs in the division at the time he fought him, although his lack of quality opposition means there's a question mark over just how good he was. I've always put him below Joshua and can't really see an argument why he should be ranked higher, but he was never less than a top five fighter with an obviously very dangerous punch.

 

His failure to fight Povetkin really hurts his standing IMO. Had he beaten Povetkin he would have a much stronger case to being one of the better HWs of the era than he does. Povetkin was one of those established guys who fought everyone over a long period and gave a really good account of himself almost every time out, so any win over him automatically anchors a fighter to a certain tier instead of occupying a kind of "maybe he's good, maybe he's overrated" sliding scale.
