How highly do you rate marlon starling

very very good fighter.Unique style.

 

Was economical with his punches, and sometimes it worked against him, at other times I think it lulled opponents into false confidence, setting them up for some serious power punches. He was talented. Not sure how Curry edged him twice, and everyone thought that was the end of him, but he came back to beat a lot of names, and would've been even money with Curry in a third bout.

 

I has their first fight a pretty clear 114-114.

 

Starling's lackadaisical tendencies cost him the first fight in what ended up being a rather dull affair against a somewhat green Curry. The rematch was vastly superior (one of my favourite fights, period), and Curry's improvements really showed. Still close, though. Curry at that stage would've been a hell of a chore for any pure boxer, in my opinion.
