How highly do you rate Sanchez's wins/performances against Little Red?

One thing I remember, is in between rounds, the Sanchez Team had a doctor
    check Salvador's blood pressure.

Pretty cool, and may have been the first fighter to have a Doctor with a
    stethoscope in his corner.

Appropriate, since Sanchez was doing surgery in both fights.

Brilliant performances in both fights, but not to be underestimated is how he looked like a 100-fight veteran in never changing expression even when Little Red would land shots that had felled other challengers. Never allowed anything to knock him off his game plan, nor did he get drawn into a slugfest that would have taken the scrap into Lopez's comfort zone.

    Fantastic !!!
When he threw his right hands from hell !
    My God !!

But, I can´t remember right now if was the first fight or the rematch.....

:good True the first fight was pretty much one sided with Sanchez dominating Lopez , this was a big upset then as Danny was one of the biggest names in boxing , where as Sanchez wasnt known outside of Mexico..... Second time Lopez had his moments and was at least competetive ... But the way he beat Lopez i just knew i was watching a legend in the making.

Little Red was a warrior ... a huge heart, tremendous condition, huge power and a terrific chin ... he was however not a top all time great ... he had lousy defense and got hit often through out his career ... he was not lightning fast ... Sanchez came out of nowhere and had the style to dice Danny up ... he simply punched the crap out of him ... I don;t think Lopez won a round in either bout .. he got hit hundreds of times ... it was a styles thing, plain and simple ...

I wouldn't say it was as much a styles thing as it was Sanchez being about two classes above Lopez as a fighter.

Superb win and performance against a tough, hard punching champion. Means more of course that Lopez held the lineal title. Very grateful a little bit of boxing history went into the books in my city.

I consider Sal's resume better than most, but it's too bad he didn't get a chance to put Pedroza on it and clean out the division completely. He fought but a boatload mix of future Hall of Famers, title holders and rated contenders as champion: Castillo, Lopez II, Ford, La Porte, Castanon, Gomez, Cowdell, Nelson..

Did Sanchez miss a single right hand in the first bout? I love Little Red, but he must've had the worst defense of any truly world class fighter I've ever seen.

Yeah, it was pretty awful. He just couldn't seem to help himself in his necessity to lead with his punches and take more than a few back. He had the chin, heart (and Power) to win the majority of his fights with an almost deplorable neglect for defense, but Sal's one of the greatest, most aggressive counterpunchers I've ever seen. Danny would probably agree.

Two nigh-on punch perfect performances. Sanchez had the chin and determination to fend off Lopez's punches, and everything else in his makeup offset the stiffness of Lopez.

Two very, very good wins. Lopez is in the highest calibre of featherweight punchers, but not of featherweight fighters.

Was Antonio Margarito at his best a 'truly world class fighter'? Was Mayorga IYO?

Both of those guys had pitiful defence. In the Trinidad fight, Mayorga used his own face as a fleshy glove-magnet. Bizarre.

They baited their faces. Lopez didn't. His failings were purely a part of his technical shortcomings.
