To be fair to Chavez he was about the same age (and with a lot more wear and tear) in the Whitaker fight as Pernell was when he was struggling with Rivera and Hurtado.

Yeah, yeah, and no doubt you have some half baked theory on who killed Kennedy, and destroyed the twin towers.:roll:

Just soppy fan boys who get their knickers twisted when they don't agree with decisions. Frankie Carbo and like minded scum died years ago.

You might be better suited to the General forum where the professional idiots reside. Who think Mayweather ALWAYS gets gifted decisions in Las Vegas, Pac has never lost a fight legitimately, either the other guy took roids, or the judges robbed him, blah, blah, fukkin blah.

I've decided to amuse myself by indulging your soppy conspiracy theory. So come on then Columbo explain exactly what is in it for everyone if a world title holding Yank gets robbed in America so that a non English speaking Mexican ( I believe you folks refer to them as w*t b***s ) gets to keep his 0?

Well for starters, Chavez was a DON KING fighter. Don King fighters have strange ways of copping strange decisions, especially when his cohorts in the WBC were involved. You'll notice that the Pernell-Chavez robbery occurred when King's main meal ticket (Mike Tyson) was behind bars, so Chavez was going to get every benefit of the doubt imaginable. Just like he would be twice more the following year vs. Frankie Randall. Randall clearly won both fights, but the first loss was a strange "SD" and the second fight is so ridiculous it doesn't merit mention.

Seen Fenech-Nelson 1? Think King's fighter deserved the draw in that one?

Seen Douglas-Tyson? Check the scorecards at the time of the stoppage.

I'm actually kinda surprised that the stink of corruption that has always surrounded King (and the WBC) even needs any elucidation here. Whitaker-Chavez could stand as Exhibit A.
