Ward didn't fight after winning the super6 for a year. For the first 6 months he was out with a broken hand. In that time Bute signd a 2 fight deal with Froch. After that Dawson called out Ward.

This shows how little you have seen of Froch before he fought Pascal. He used to be faster and have a better workrate. He was about 30 when he first won a world title and about 35 when fighting Ward. Froch is a slow lw workrate SMW.
Just because he beat Bute doesnt mean he isnt faded. Did you not think Hopkins was faded when he beat Pascal? I bet you did
Bute losing to Froch just shows how weak the era is and Ward lost the chance to capitalise on that if he had of fought Bute.

I did not talk about Kesslers win but what did he do??? Well Kesslers win over Froch>Butes record.
I can not believe Bute fans acting like he wasnt destroyed first time he stepped up to fight second best fighter in the division.

 

Kessler has done alot more than Bute, which is why he is Wards best win but Bute would have been considered Wards best win because Bute was undefeated. People write on here that an undefeated record doesnt matter, but when you have an undefeated world champ who has built that undefeated confidence it is a big thing.
No Bute isnt as accomplished as Kessler, but Kessler was faded like Froch and both had been beaten. Ward would have really made a big impact in beating an undefeated fighter. Also Kessler was an unwell double vision suffering fighter.

Ward and Bute never beat a top undefeated fighter or an undefeated champ. they are fighting in a weak era, where they could have made their name against each other.

Just to make it clear Froch hardly won against Dirrell(it was close), lost to Kessler(close but did lose), beat AA and lost to Ward, and after all this hard hard fights(add Taylor) he still destroyed Bute and showed Lucian is not top level.

Its a troll post because Froch was not faded. He put in the best performance of his career beating undefeated Bute.

 

The fact that Froch obliterated Bute in quick easy fashion does a lot for Ward already.
