Froch will vacate the IBF belt & head to Vegas for the Chavez Jr fight

DeGale will fight for the vacant IBF belt

Groves will have a warm up fight in Germany before taking on the winner of Abraham/Smith for the WBO belt

Ward will still be sitting on the sidelines

Possible DeGale vs Groves unification in 12-18 months.

He doesn't need to vacate anything because he'll have a voluntary next.

Before froch retires he will have a final crack at ward for his legacy

If he loses, so what, he lost before

If he wins he has a serious legit shot as britans greatest super middle, that kind of legacy is too much for his ego to pass up

Ward WILL take the fight because it will be his biggest payday

He'll vacate because DeGale is promoted by Hearn too & Froch has no intention of fighting him, so he'll be doing his mate Eddie Hearn a favor & the belt will stay in house when Froch retires.

You mean GGG who "isn't ready to move up to 168 because he has unfinished business" ...yet wants to fight Chavez (a Cruiserweight)

GGG isn't the monster his fans want to believe. He is picking and choosing too. He wants Froch because it's a fight he "knows" he can win.

No way Froch fights GGG, unless HBO throw a massive cheque his way, there's simply more money & exposure to be had fighting Chavez Jr, GGG looks like he'll put Froch into retirement.

I think the thing is money really. You are somewhat right about the monster comment, but only half right. Its true GGG has no interest in facing Ward as B side when he can make just as much fighting a regular 160lb bout.

If Ward had a real promotional situation and could offer the same payday as Froch or Chavez I do think they would take the fight.

Back when noone knew GGG either relatively, Golovkin said hed like to fight Ward at the Rosado fighter meeting and Ward just said "I'm just listening, I'm just listening". Ended up fighting E-Rod who coincidentally had turned down a 500k offer to face GGG which is why Golovkin was fighting Rosado in the first place.

So on one side, yeah GGG isnt quite the "monster" and wants to make some money like every other fighter. On the other hand, the rest of the world isnt "ducking" Ward either. Ward has had his chances to make fights like GGG and Kessler and declined.

I don't get why everyone is writing Froch of in a potential GGG fight, did you see the Ouma fight? I think GGG can be out fought and It would be silly to rule out Froch imo.

I see lots of people writing GGG off as well.

Thats fine, thats good really. You can tell by how animated people get on both sides of the fence that it would be a big fight and draw a lot of attention.

Would be a tremendous fight, If I had a gun to my head I would pick GGG, I just don't see why people think Froch will fold like Macklin did though.

Pretty unrealistic to have Ward fighting 3 times in a year isnt it?

    Convincing case.

What is the time line by your reckoning?
