I've never been impressed with Paulie. No offense to him, but I consider him a c level fighter. He's very one dimensional, he has no defense, zero punching power, bad technique, bad footwork. I don't know why anyone even gave him a chance against Khan, but that's me.
Put simply, you are wrong. He has some great skills. His inconsistency and lack of power really hinder him, but he is a good fighter.
The only times I've paid attention to Paulie's career is in his valiant effort against Cotto and when he fought Hatton where he was awful. I've got respect for what he said after the first Diaz fight, hats off to him for that but apart from those things he's easily forgettable.
Take a year off, get himself conditioned at 135 and come back. I think he can still do things in boxing at that weight class. He'll never be stopped and if he learnt to work off the jab more with the right hand, he'd become a much better fighter - that isn't too hard to teach.
Paulie would kill himself to make 135...he is a natural 140 fighter, and conditioning is not his problem.....I doubt we wil lsee paulie ever again, he may go the tarver route and be a commentator.... I also don't rule out the possibility of him becoming a trainer...
Any fighter that wins a one of the legit world titles is world class. Paulie was world class but far from elite.
i love pauli, loud arrogant, slick fighter, high level of confidence thats what a boxer is. is pauli rich, surely he must have a heck load of money now, unless he spent it all.
