Only a tiny, very tiny amount of athletes are even near prime at or over 40, at best 1 in a million. So How impressive is it for a man in his prime to beat up a man in or near 40?
I apologize, I forgot most boxing fans only care about $$$$$ and do not care about great fighters and fights.
If the 40 year old man is taking PEDs and the guy who beat him is not taking PEDs it's impressive. PEDs nullify age to certain extent that's why we're seeing boxers hang around and continue boxing while in past eras they would have been good and finished by 40. It's also the reason I don't pay any attention to the "I would have beaten him in my prime" excuse or boast a certain boxer with known PED usage makes---his PEDs made him just as capable as he was in his prime.
It's not the age that was the issue. It's the clear fact that his knees were in no condition to be fighting.
A bum knee was the the significant factor here, not age. Cotto was damn near the equivalent of Chavez Jr at 140.
