as such a cutie pie in the ring with all the tricks of the trade how did simon get inside to joes body? i thought simon was just a huge tomatoe can and felt that joe should have had his ticket long before the fight.is this fight on film?
Oh wow.. Walcott was a part-time boxer who wouldn't hook up with an actual trainer until about 4 years after the Simon fight. He was not a cutie in 1940 or even that good.
well ive seen simon fight and he was a large speciman but not a very good boxer. seemed to have a solid punch(when he landed) had no footwork and was a stand up fighter. joe on the other hand had it the tough way and thats where he picked up or made up some of his flashy tricks. ask joe louis about that walk away sneak right.
