He comes in on fight night around 143-144 anyways! It will probably benefit him since he doesnt have to worry about cutting weight. Its not as if Pac blows up for fightnight and comes in weighing 155+ like most WW's. He himself will be around 147-148.

JMM should just take the fight at 147 and come in at his usual weight. Plain and simple.

If you cannot see the difference in Marquez when he weights in at 135 as opposed to 144 (oficial weigh in, not in rigng weight), then you have a lot of work to do. The good new is, that work consists of watching nothing but boxing. :smoke

Weight effects different fighters differently, being a higher weight means training at a higher weight which does causen a problem for some guys. I can not understand nwhy its so hard for some people to understand. the fight night weight doesnt mean **** to what weight a guy should fight at.

The difference was that in the latter example he was fighting Floyd Mayweather iirc....

I swear some people think that if Marquez had been allowed to weigh in at 142lbs for the Katsidis fight, he wouldn't have performed as well...

Ok, so then he should train for 135, and come in at 144 like he did against Katsidis then.

Again, if u feel training at a higher weight will effect him, then why not call Nacho and tell him to have Marquez train as if it were a 135lb fight, and put on his usual 8-10lbs overnight. :hey

That might be the only difference to you, but some of us notice things like losing hand speed and such. You're explanation is just too simple, and I don't mean that in a 'dickhead' way. I'm not gonna say Floyd had nothing to do with how JMM looked, but his not needing to come down to weights he fought comfortably at will no doubt effect him too.

Maybe. One thing I know is, he wouldn't have to come in as heavy as he did w/ Floyd against Pac.

I used to be against this but now I don't see any problems with this. Neither would come in at 147, so why not? Does Pac still hold his WBO belt? If so, it's a bonus for Marquez. He could win a title in 4 divisions.

To all you whiny *****s, I didn't have any problem with Joy fighting Marquez.

Because Marquez tried to add weight when fighting Mayweather which we see doesn't work for him.

On top of that, instead of making the excuse of fighting at 147, why not 140 where we know Pac can EASILY make the weight and still have his full meal in the morning.

If Manny can have other fighters drop down to lesser weights to fight him, why can't he do the same? He's gain his fame by fighting fighters at catch weights. It's time for the so call ATG to man up.
