How is a 38 year old man who heavily relies on movement still dominating?

I don't think much of AJ or Chisora.

Fury was pretty good and could move well for being so large, but still not a great boxer and he had abused himself severely with almost complete lack of dedication.

Don't get me wrong, I think Usyk is very good and the best since Wladimir k. I root for him all the time and he is a model of excellence and a true champion. But his skills get way overrated. How much credit am I supposed to give him for beating a guy that just kept throwing one two one two one two all night?

Usyk has fought 206 pro rounds. Jimmy Young had 451, Ali 548, Ezzard Charles 967. Those guys had way more fights at the top level as well that were way less spread out.

Besides Dubois, Usyk has not been dominating hes been consistantly winning by 1-2 rounds going back to his early 30s. He has fought 3 men in HW title fights over 5 years and hasn't fought someone other than Dubois and Tyson Fury in 3 years. Hes been fighting a 3 man closed man round robin since hes 33. Not that Usyk is being washed but any conclusions being reached are based on him fighting 3 guys and are very limited.

ironically dubois will do usyk a favour twice . When on his next fight dubois suddenly fires on all cylinders again and gives his opponent a tough night people will say how great usyk was beating him easily ...

No disrespect intended to Usyk but most of his heavyweight opponents have been older or similarly aged to himself and almost all have been plodders nobody would ever accuse of being nimble.

who is gonna keep up with his feet? a division full of oversized, overweight fighters cant dictate a fight vs a complete fighter. when people were going around saying fury moved great for a big man, i always reminded them that aint the same as having great movement. for an ogre, sure. but not for whats possiible, and once normal, in hw fighters. curiously, the one i think might have a chance at staying with usyk is built like hes ridiculing hw boxing. andy ruiz.

Cope here is actually insane lmao, Usyk’s opposition is better than 90% of other HW greats.

Anyway, he is dominating because he adjusts his style to his age. He no longer moves and throws as much as he used to, but he is more accurate with his counters and actually steps into his shots to make sure his opponents can’t just walk through him. People called him a feather-fist but I always knew Usyk would turn out to be like Ali in the sense that his power would surprise a lot of people once he stopped moving and bouncing around so much.

It was better than Tua's who is considered among Lewis' top wins.

One of the reasons boxers last longer today is because they don't fight as many gruelling fights and gruelling rounds in sparring.
The top boxers take ample time off when they are a little bit injured. They do pre-hab and re-hab work.

Muhammad Ali at age 33-34, fought his 51st professional fight, the Thrilla in Manila v. Frazier - a horribly gruelling fight of 14 rounds - then took only 4 months off, then fought 3 times (including a 15 rounds with Jimmy Young) in the following 4 months back, then fought a wrestler in a real fight in Japan the next month getting kicked in the legs for 15 rounds that gave him blood clots, then fought Norton 15 rounds 3 months later..All within 12 months.

And people ask why Usyk's in better condition than Ali was at 38.

    It's barely the same sport

Correct. They are all virtually part timers these days and too many spend far too much time focussed on how they can preserve their 0.

Yeah, what absolute wusses, they should go out there and fight until they end up dead-broke and unable to speak at 45 so that nobodies like you can call them "warriors".
