No I didn't. His footwork is exceptional. I agree however that he doesn't cut the ring off very well. They are not the same thing. Algieris movement is his best asset here but PAC is much faster on his feet than Chris. So much so that it may nullify algieris movement...even without PAC cutting the ring off. Y would he have box Algieri in if he's the much faster guy?
For those saying Pac doesn't have good footwork, Watch HBO Under The Lights. Timothy Bradley and Virgil Hunter both said he has great footwork.
In what fight could Pac not cut off the ring? Mannys foot work covers all areas. Defence and offence. Its one of his best attributes.
This coming from one of the most immature posters on the site, that's exactly to keep someone off of you, I'm answering the TS's question ****head.
The same way JMM did ..why do people think that Pac is a high volume puncher ..he isn't ..only when there's a slow fighter in front of him ..Chris has a lot of speed and his conditioning will be great Scroe card .....116-114 115-113 117 -112 and still undefeated Chris The New Rocky Algieri This content is protected
Algieri has the height advantage but Manny's arms are actually an inch longer. 23 inches for Manny vs. 22 inches for Algieri. Not that Manny will need that advantage here anyway. His superior speed, movement and timing will be enough to allow him to land on Algieri.
its obvious algieri needs to use his advantages in reach and height to box on the outside.dont stand right in front of pac.easier said then done of course.doing it to provodnikov is one thing Pacquiao is a completely different beast.pac will give algieri his first loss no question about it.
A serious question?? Cotto- failed to get the KO because he couldn't cut off the ring from backpedaling and mortally wounded miguel. Mosley - that corpse was wounded and ripe for the picking but he followed him around the ring without cutting it off. Marquez 3 - followed marquez all over the ring, circled the wrong way, and let him stay 6inches out of reach all night. Bradley 1 - again, just followed and let him dictate space and pace. He still wins fights regardless because the opponent is facing too much firepower to mount any offense .but the fact remains he can't cut a ring.
Move side to side constantly, flickering out the jab, hoping to sway a judge... Don't linger on the ropes, but maximize the ring size and be alongside them while moving.
I can see why you would have this opinion. That being said, I have this nagging feeling that when the fight is on, it may become very clear very quickly that Chris is not up to the task. Of course, thats why they fight the fights. We will wee tomorrow:good
